ISLAMABAD – Rains and gusty/dust-raising winds are likely in Islamabad, Rawalpindi and at isolated places in Pakistan on Monday and Tuesday.
Per the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD), continental air prevails over most parts of Pakistan.
Under these conditions, rain-wind/thunderstorms are expected in the twin cities and at isolated places in the Potohar region, northeast Punjab, Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa, Gilgit-Baltistan and Kashmir on Monday and Tuesday.
Islamabad’s maximum temperatures will likely stay between 40-42°C on Monday and Tuesday.
Rawalpindi’s maximum temperatures will likely stay between 40-42°C on Monday and Tuesday.
Meanwhile, hot and dry prevailed in the twin cities and most parts of the country during the last 24 hours. However, rain-thunderstorms occurred at isolated places in Gilgit-Baltistan.

Turbat remained the hottest place in the country where the maximum temperature was recorded at 48°C. Maximum temperature in Sibbi, Jacobabad, Bhakkar and Noorpur Thal was recorded at 47°C, Hafizabad, Okara, Dera Ghazi Khan, Dadu and Gujranwala at 46°C.
In Islamabad, the maximum temperature was recorded at 41°C. Relative humidity in the evening was recorded at 25 per cent.
In Rawalpindi, the maximum temperature was recorded at 40°C. Relative humidity in the evening was recorded at 15 per cent.
